I am above all else a horse lover, almost fanatic, every horse that I have had in my life, in training or otherwise, has a place in my heart. So, horses are my life's work and love, how lucky is that?!

Come see me and let's talk about you and your horse and where you would like to go!
Sincerely,

My true passion lies with the classical art of Dressage. I feel very strongly that any and all horses as well as riders, regardless of their ultimate goals (even pleasure riding), can and will benefit from some form of Dressage training. After all it is not just about "fancy movements", it is about balance and harmony. I believe in teaching  horses according to their abilities, therefore creating  animals who are comfortable and secure with themselves. Who doesn't want that?!

My training has been a bit unconventional because I was raised in a European Circus/Equestrian Family. I was riding at 2 in costume, riding Piaffe and Passage at 10 and warming up 12 Lippizan Stallions for my Mom's Liberty Act at 14. I have had the opportunity throughout my show career to work with some of the most interesting and talented horse trainers in the world.

In 1996 I went back to Germany with my horses (Friesians, Percherons, and my Super Mini) to perform on a 70 horse traveling musical show. While there, riding with the best of the best, I furthered my training skills in specialties such as Sidesaddle,

Long Lines, Work in Hand, Liberty, Haute Ecole, and also Airs Above the Ground, Capriolle, Levade, and Corbette. What I really benefited from during the 6 years was of course, the fact that I was in the land of the "Masters of Dressage."
2001 brought me back to the US. I was hired by Cirque du Soleil's Gilles St Croix to be the Principal female rider in his elaborate Equine Theatre called "CHEVAL". That was a wonderful 2 year tour where I again fell in love with a new set of Liberty horses and another Friesian Dressage/Haute Ecole stallion. This was another great experience.

In 2000 I decided to go to the Westphalische Fahr und Reitschule, near Wahrendorf, to earn my Dressage Trainer's Degree. This is a degree that is acknowledged by the FEI (Federation Equestrian International) and the German FN (Federation National). This certainly was not an easy task, however, after 3 months of work, 6 days a week and a few shed tears, I did it!

I was not about to let that fact pass me by. Throughout the years I spent in Germany was fortunate to be able to take many, many hours of true dressage lessons on horses of all ranks from Training level, through Prix St. George. It was certainly a worthwhile schooling experience.
